F# developer

Tactics is growing and therefor in need of a new colleague that can develop in F#. We strongly believe that F# it the way to go and we can use some extra hands to get us there! We are using F# in combination with Fable/React.

Have you been developing in F# or even played around with it? Are you the one? The one that has been looking for us? Are you the one that has all this F# knowledge, but doesn’t really know where to put it? Well, let’s have a talk about it.

Your tasks and responsibilities

As a F# developer, you will be responsible for everything that comes with writing applications, from the technical analysis over developing and coding components to testing and maintaining software programs as well as documenting the development process and architecture.

What have you got?

As a F# developer-to-be, you have:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Profound understanding of one or more of the following technologies
    • .NET framework
    • F#
    • SAFE stack (but we use Giraffe instead of Saturn 😉)
    • PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of functional as object-oriented and component-based programming
  • An eagerness to explore new technologies and to take on responsibilities
  • An analytic mind that can express itself in both English and Dutch
  • The will to invest in yourself to grow

Tactics in a nutshell

Every company that develops applications calls itself innovative, it seems. We know. But as pioneers in F#, which we are currently using to work magic for customers including Kellogg’s, we actually have proof to back up that claim. Does that make us experts in our field?

Sure. Does that make us nose-in-the-air type of people? Quite the contrary. We not only pride ourselves on the close and long-term relationships we develop with our customers, but also on the strong ties that exist between all members of the Tactics tribe – ours is a flat organizational structure, after all.

Having been around for more than 17 years now, Tactics has developed a fondness for full-fledged, state-of-the-art, custom-built applications. Yet rather than just straight up creating these for our customers, we prefer to act as their partner throughout the entire process: from analysis to aftercare.
